Virtual Access FAQs

HOW DO I LOG INTO THE VIRTUAL PLATFORM?
Once you have registered, you will receive a welcome email from email@example.com with details on how to set up a password and log into the virtual event site. These instructions will be sent to the email address with which you registered. We recommend you add firstname.lastname@example.org to your Safe Sender list and check your junk, spam, or clutter folders to locate the welcome message, if you do not initially see it. If you have not received this email within 48 hours of registering, please email email@example.com for assistance.
I’M NOT SURE WHERE TO START. HOW DO I NAVIGATE THE VIRTUAL CONFERENCE SITE?
We recommend starting with the 2D lobby image, which is featured on the Home page. This image contains buttons to all the major components of the site, including the Schedule (shows what sessions are offered), General Sessions, Concurrent & Posters, Exhibit Hall and Networking pages. If you need assistance, please visit the Help Desk and click on “Tech Support”, to initiate a conversation with one of our technical support representatives.
WHAT INTERNET BROWSER SHOULD I USE?
For best performance and compatibility, we recommend using Google Chrome – and please make sure you have the most up to date version. The platform will not perform reliably using other browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari.
CAN I ATTEND THE EVENT USING MY SMARTPHONE OR TABLET?
While the site is enabled for mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets, we recommend using a laptop or desktop computer for an optimal user experience.
WHAT INTERNET CAPACITY IS RECOMMENDED?
You should use a strong connection with a dedicated speed of at least 3 Mbps. If your connection is slower, you may still participate but load times may be longer than normal, and live stream sessions may buffer occasionally. To test the speed of your internet, please click on https://www.speedtest.net/ and click “Go”.
Other helpful tips include:
- Connect to the internet using a network cable rather than using a wireless network.
- Disconnect other devices in your household from your wireless network.
- Disconnect from VPN or corporate networks (if possible).
- Close any unnecessary applications.
- Refrain from browsing the internet, streaming media and/or downloading large files while participating in the event.
WHAT IF THE CONTENT IS NOT LOADING AND HAS “GLITCHES”?
- Log out of the event site.
- Clear your browser’s cache. If you need assistance, this guide will walk you through the process: https://www.refreshyourcache.com/en/home/.
- Restart your computer.
- Log back into the event site.
WHAT IF I HAVE TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES?
Please visit the Help Desk and click on “Tech Support”, to complete a brief form and initiate a conversation with one of our technical support representatives.
HoW Long will the virtual access be AVAILABLE?
On-demand sessions will be available for viewing through December 31, 2021.
Concurrent Sessions and Posters
HOW DO I SELECT/REGISTER FOR MY VIRTUAL SESSIONS?
You can access all on-demand sessions from the “Schedule” page or from any of the session directories located under the “General Sessions” and “Concurrents & Posters” pages.
When viewing a listing of sessions, you can click on the session title to be taken to the page for that particular session. Then, click “View the Recording” to watch the on-demand video.
WILL CNE CREDITS BE OFFERED FOR THE VIRTUAL SESSIONS? HOW DO I OBTAIN MY CNE CREDITS?
Attendees who meet continuing nursing education eligibility requirements may earn 1.0 CNE credit for each concurrent session, for a maximum of 16 CNE credits. General sessions and networking roundtables are not applicable for CNE credit.
Attendees will have to complete a session evaluation in order to receive credit for a particular session – you may do this by visiting https://bit.ly/3rBBWnT.
To receive CNE credit you must:
- Be registered as a participant and attend the entire session.
- Access the 2021 ANCC Magnet & Pathway CNE website at https://bit.ly/3rBBWnT to complete the evaluation process (no later than Friday, January 14, 2022 @ 11:59 p.m. ET) and download your certificate.
- Deadline for claiming CNE credit: Friday, January 14, 2022 @ 11:59 p.m. ET.

HOW DO I VIEW THE DIGITAL POSTERS?
You can access all digital posters by clicking on “Concurrents & Posters” in the main navigation bar, then selecting “Poster Sessions”. Poster sessions will be organized by Group. If you don’t know which Group a poster falls within, you can also search by poster title or author name in the global search bar at the top of the site. Attendees who meet continuing nursing education eligibility requirements may earn 1.0 CNE credit for each poster group, for a maximum of 7.0 CNE credits.
Virtual Exhibit Hall
WHEN IS THE VIRTUAL EXHIBIT HALL OPEN?
You are welcome to visit the virtual exhibit booths at any time. However, booths will not be staffed. You may contact an exhibitor by completing the “Contact Us” form within the booth.
HOW MAY I QUICKLY FIND A SPECIFIC VIRTUAL EXHIBITOR I’M LOOKING FOR?
Click on “Exhibit Hall” from the main navigation bar, then select “Exhibitor by Alpha”. You’ll then see a full listing of all exhibitors in alpha order and can search for a specific exhibitor in the search bar located above the listing.
HOW DO I VISIT A BOOTH?
Once in the virtual Exhibit Hall, click on any booth you are interested in visiting. You will then see that specific booth and various buttons to click on.
CAN I CHAT DIRECTLY WITH VIRTUAL EXHIBITORS?
Exhibit booths will not be staffed after the live event. However, you may contact an exhibitor by completing the “Contact Us” form within the booth.
HOW DO I DOWNLOAD MATERIALS PROVIDED AT THE BOOTH?
If an item is downloadable, you will see a square download icon in the top righthand corner of the file. Click on this to download the file to your desktop.
HOW DO I PURCHASE ITEMS AT THE ANA GIFT SHOP?
From the ANA Enterprise Bookstore and Gift Shop booth, click on either the “Bookstore Website” or “Gift Shop” tabs to be taken to either website to purchase items.
HOW DO I FIND OUT MORE INFORMATION ABOUT ANCC PROGRAMS?
To find out more about an ANCC program, click on “ANCC Showcase”, find the specific booth for which you are seeking information and click on that booth.
MAY I CONNECT DIRECTLY WITH OTHER VIRTUAL ATTENDEES, INCLUDING EXHIBITORS AND SPEAKERS?
- You may reach out via any of the Discussion Forums, which are accessible via the tile in your Attendee Dashboard.
- You may contact an exhibitor by completing the “Contact Us” form within the booth.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE IN DISCUSSION GROUPS? CAN I START A THREAD IN THE DISCUSSION FORUMS?
Please visit our discussion forums by clicking the Discussion Forums tile in your Attendee Dashboard. You can start a new thread in the forum.
WHAT ARE THE ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES OFFERED WITH VIRTUAL ACCESS?
You can find a few great options in our Activity Center, including wellness activities, the ANCC YouTube channel, special behind the scenes access to the Georgia Aquarium, music playlists, and virtual Georgia museum experiences.
HOW LONG WILL ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES BE AVAILABLE?
The platform is open to all virtual attendees until December 31, 2021.
