AIR TRAVEL

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), the only major airport serving the nation’s 6th largest metropolitan area, is a large hub airport serving 32.24 million passengers annually. Twenty-five airlines, including all major domestic carriers, offer nearly 500 daily departures to more than 140 destinations worldwide. Located 7 miles from downtown Philadelphia, approximately 20-minute drive from the Philadelphia Convention Center (PACC) the Airport is easily accessible and convenient to many tourist sites, business centers, and cultural hubs.

GETTING AROUND PHILADELPHIA

Ground Transportation 

PATCO is a high speed train line between Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia.

SEPTA is a metropolitan and regional transportation agency and authority that operates various forms of public transit: bus, subway and elevated rail, commuter rail, light rail, and electric trolleybus.

PHLASH is the quick, easy and inexpensive connection to key Philadelphia historic attractions and cultural institutions.

NJ Transit is New Jersey’s public transportation corporation that operates bus, rail, and light rail transit.

Taxis and Ride Share

Flat Rate from the Center City Zone to the Airport: $28.50 per one way trip regardless of the number of passengers. 

Taxis charge a flat rate of $28.50 for travel between Center City and the airport, or you can pay the meter to go anywhere else in the metro area ($2.70 upon entry plus $2.30 per mile). Travelers can also hail a Lyft or Uber to their destination. Seven rental car agencies operate at PHL for travelers who want to venture out on their own.

Pennsylvania Convention Center (PACC):  The Pennsylvania Convention Center (PACC) provides access to various parking options, including garages and surface lots, which are conveniently located within blocks of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
