Magnet: Call for Reviewers

ANCC is seeking nurses to serve as volunteer abstract reviewers for the 2022 ANCC Pathway to Excellence® Conference and ANCC National Magnet Conference®

This reviewer call is for the ANCC National Magnet Conference portion.

Who can serve as a nurse reviewer?

Nurses practicing in clinical settings, nursing leaders or managers, and nursing educators may apply. ANCC is seeking reviewers with expertise in nursing practice who are familiar with the Magnet Model.  The abstracts will be submitted under these tracks:

  • Transformational Leadership
  • Structural Empowerment
  • Exemplary Professional Practice
  • New Knowledge, Innovations and Improvements

Applicants for abstract reviewers must be comfortable reviewing research abstracts as they may be included in each of the tracks.

What’s involved?

If selected, you will complete your reviews during a 2-week period, independently, in January 2022. Training will be provided. Reviewers are each assigned 40 – 55 abstracts of 300 – 350 words each and must complete their review during the pre-scheduled period. Consideration for reviewer opportunities include prior abstract review completion on time, the number of reviewers per organization and the expertise of the reviewers. Reviewers may submit abstracts for the conference but will not review their own abstract.
